A representative of the southern BYD dealer said that this Chinese car company has opened pre-orders for three car models including Atto 3, Seal and Dolphin.
The deposit level for each car model is 30 million, 50 million and 20 million VND respectively.
At the end of April, BYD representatives also confirmed that these three car models will be imported to Vietnam from China.
The sales representative said that currently the three car models do not have an estimated price.
If a customer places an order but decides not to receive the car when it is officially opened for sale, they will have their deposit refunded and receive an accessory voucher worth 5 million VND.
BYD Atto 3 is expected to be the company’s most prominent model in Vietnam.
Although the exterior design of the Atto 3 is not too complicated, the interior makes a strong impression with outstanding equipment such as a 3-spoke steering wheel, a 15.6-inch rotating central screen, and air conditioning vents.
In addition, the car is also equipped with an electronic gear lever, electronic parking brake and panoramic sunroof.
In China, Atto 3 has two options: Standard Range using a 49.92 kWh battery with a range of 410 km and Extended Range with a 60.48 kWh battery allowing a range of 480 km.
According to information from the dealer, BYD Seal sold in Vietnam is expected to be an electric version, not a hybrid version as previously rumored.
The car has the same size as D-class sedans such as Toyota Camry or Mazda6, a segment that is often harder to sell than B- and C-class models.
BYD Seal stands out with a coupe design similar to the Porsche Taycan.
The car seats are of the sports type.
The highlight of Seal is its impressive operating range. The highest capacity battery version is 82.56 kWh, allowing the car to travel up to nearly 700 km.
The BYD Dolphin has a hybrid design between a hatchback and an MPV, with the same size as the VinFast VF 6. The Dolphin’s exterior is simpler than the Seal, but the interior focuses on details to create a more fashionable look.
The car’s screen is 12.8 inches in size and can rotate.
In terms of operating range, Dolphin can go 490 km for the Premium version and 410 km for the Dynamic Standard Range version, these parameters are equivalent to Atto 3.
