US – Technology giant Google has announced plans to upgrade the user experience of its services in cars.

According to one study, Americans spend nearly 70 billion hours driving each year, and Google wants to make sure that time is well spent.

With Android Auto, Google has updated the ability to support video calling applications such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams and WebEx.

Youtube is officially included on car models using Google services

The focus of the upgrades and updated features are cars that integrate Google services.

According to estimates, the number of vehicles possessing these technologies is expected to more than double by the end of this year.

One important addition is the YouTube app.

YouTube is currently available in cars with built-in Google services, and automakers like Polestar and Volvo will offer YouTube via an over-the-air update.

If the driver is a “hardcore fan” of games and not videos, then they are in luck because the  GameSnacks app  is also about to be launched by Google in the car.

Google Assistant is also getting smarter in cars using Google services because it will be able to “share smart suggestions so you can quickly respond to messages, share your arrival time, and more.”

The game store will be added to increase entertainment possibilities

This feature will launch in the next few months and is expected to be a reliable `helper`, allowing drivers to have more hands-free time to focus on the task at hand.

All the upgrades are great, but navigation is still the most important feature when driving.

While Google Maps is hard to beat, a new app called Waze is now rolling out globally to cars with Google built-in.

Sync and screen sharing features are added to keep up with the trend

Waze has a number of electric car-focused features including the ability to “look up charging stations that match the vehicle’s charging port, and are located close to the vehicle.”

Other notable updates include the ability for navigation apps to use digital tools for turn-by-turn directions.

As a software company, Google allows developers to access sensor data such as range, fuel level, and speed.

Front-seat passenger displays are quickly becoming the next trend in the auto industry, and Google wants to capture this trend as they announced that front passengers will be able to “assist with navigation,

The company revealed that Android Automotive OS 14 will support multiple screens.

The American tech giant notes that its Automotive App Library provides developers with templates to help realize apps.
