Entering the third Grand Slam final of the year, Djokovic had a dream start, leading junior Carlos Alcaraz 5-0 in set 1. The experienced and classy Serbian tennis player continuously pressed.

Alcaraz then regained a service game to shorten the score to 1-5, but that was all he could do in set 1. Djokovic ended the set with an overwhelming score of 6-1.

In set 2, Alcaraz gradually regained its rhythm to win the first 2 games in a row.

The two then had to pull each other to a Tie-break series.

Entering set 3, Alcaraz continued his excitement to win the first 2 games, Djokovic then tried to reclaim 1 game before making a mistake to lose 2 break points in game 4. The set score was raised to 2-1 in favor.

Game 5 set 3 saw the two players struggling for 26 minutes, 13 times the score was even.

Losing the longer 3rd set left Djokovic physically and mentally exhausted.

In set 5, although Djokovic won game 1, Alcaraz showed his stubbornness and bravery by continuously winning breaks with risky but accurate small shots or lobs at the end of the court.

Then in the final game when the score was 5-4, the young Spanish tennis player forced Djokovic to the right corner with a powerful forehand, causing Nole to then return the ball into the net.
