Head coach Lim “Tom” Jae-hyeon shared about Faker’s illness and commented on the worst case scenario.
On July 27, T1 had a rematch with DRX and had to receive an extremely bitter 1-2 defeat.
In the post-match interview with DRX, head coach Lim “Tom” Jae-hyeon and jungler Moon “Oner” Hyeon-joon shared about T1’s situation at the moment.
Below is the full text of the interview:
How do you rate today’s match?
Tom: We went into this match with the intention of getting a win to stop our recent losing streak.
Oner: We were hoping to win a match before meeting KT, but we failed.
Jungler Oner
It seems like you guys are having communication problems during the match?
Tom: Occasionally there are missed calls, hesitations in decision-making regarding goals.
Oner: We believe that the whole team can improve communication.
What do you feel is wrong?
Oner: We are always in a hurry, from picking and banning to fulfilling our roles in the early and mid game.
What are you doing to improve your team’s performance?
Oner: We didn’t play well, so we had a meeting frankly.
As someone who always closely follows every match of T1, does Faker have any advice?
Oner: Currently, he is focusing on playing solo queue and recovering from his injury.
Since Faker’s absence, T1 has lost 6 matches.
Tom: If Faker returns, we hope he can help make T1’s drafting and banning process more flexible, while also improving the team’s performance.
Coach Tom
The match against KT Rolster was not easy.
Tom: KT Rolster is a strong team and has been in good form recently.
Oner: KT is on a long winning streak and their performance is really impressive.
Will Faker miss the Playoffs?
Tom: That’s the worst case scenario.
